Lesiba (30) has worked for Konecranes since June 2012. He was working for a major competitor in Johannesburg, when his talent was spotted and he was offered a job at Konecranes head office as a Project Manager.
He was promoted to Project Management Team Leader late last year.
“Working with a great team support is inspirational and makes me look forward coming to work each day”, says Lesiba. “The daily challenges of continuous process improvements to simplify team tasks gives me a great feeling of accomplishment each day”.
Lesiba will be off to do a training course in Bangkok, Thailand in mid March 2013 on Customer Relationship/Procurement & Supply Change Management. He has also travelled to Turin, Italy for prospective big contract tender negotiations for gas fired power stations in Durban and in Port Elizabeth in South Africa.
“In the Konecranes culture in my opinion, the corporate looks after its people as its greatest asset”, says Lesiba. “Work well done does not go unnoticed by seniors and it is rewarded accordingly. In comparison with other companies I’ve worked for it makes me very happy that I have the opportunity of building a career with Konecranes.
“Looking to the future and the way the company is structured, there are enough opportunities for growth within the organization”.
