There’s something about lifting 100 tons with just the press of a button.Bergen, Norway
I’ve been a service technician at Konecranes Bergen for close to six years now. I do crane maintenance, commissioning and modifications, and also function as a supervisor in some larger projects. The freedom that comes with this job is amazing. One day I might be commissioning, whereas the next day I’m troubleshooting via PLC controls. Troubleshooting is my favorite line of work.
The power of lifting
Like our slogan says we’re here to lift the businesses of our customers. We extend the life of existing cranes, contribute to better work handling solutions and do our utmost to make our customers benefit from our wide range of lifting equipment. I’ve always thought cranes are exiting. There’s something about lifting 100 tons with just the press of a button.
Advancing the automation
I was working for an electrical company which was one of Konecranes customers when I decided to apply for a job in Konecranes, I have no regrets. Konecranes is a stable employer. There are many possibilities to learn through training and by working with colleagues with different backgrounds. Right now I’m looking forward to specializing further in PLC controls and advanced automation. Join the team!
