At Konecranes we understand the importance of compliance with stringent quality requirements. In addition to our ISO-9001 quality certification, our nuclear safety related quality control program meets the most stringent nuclear quality requirements, including 10CFR50 Appendix B. Customized quality control programs are available to comply with site specific requirements. Our quality control programs have been successfully audited by numerous independent evaluators to assure compliance with key regulatory requirements.

The Konecranes organization consists of approximately 10,000 employees worldwide. Our nuclear engineering staff is comprised of over 100 engineers with substantial experience in every aspect of engineering applicable to lifting equipment for nuclear power generation facilities. We are members of regulatory and advisory groups such as the ASME NOG-1 committee, which set standards for the design of lifting equipment operating at nuclear facilities. All engineering is completed by in-house personnel including complex seismic evaluation, regulatory compliance validation and safety analysis reports.
