Modular, reliable hoisting machinery
In the basic winch design, the rope drum is mounted on the secondary gear shaft forming a rigid, uniform structure. As the unit is installed on a trolley with three support points, it can accommodate flexibility in the frame of the hoisting trolley. A major advantage is that small dynamic deformations resulting from loading of the steel structure do not cause extra stress on bearings or other mechanical parts.
Assembly and maintenance is straightforward. If special applications so require, the gearbox can be located between the two drums. Rope reeving diagrams are designed for the LV Tailored Winch according to the application and the customer's requirements.
Infinitely variable speed for enhanced safety
Correct speed with proper control ensures top crane performance! Continuous speed control has many advantages compared to single or multi-step control systems:
Konecranes' experience and know-how in crane applications combined with its own crane motor production and the latest technology have resulted in a crane inverter with application-specific software (the DynA family) in addition to traditional AC thyristor control (ACE).
