Customer Success Story Spanopoulos Group
Employee Safety and product protection paired with competent after sales support and the newest digital technology of real time data lead the Spanopoulos Group to order cranes from one of the market leading Company Konecranes.
The Spanopoulos Group was founded 50 years ago, with the profound goal of becoming established in the maritime section. Family owned and operated, Spanopoulos Group, has over 50 years of experience, obtained through a widespread number of activities in the marine and offshore field. Utilizing its fleet of multipurpose vessels, it has undergone a gradual progress in order to be in line with the best and latest marine industry practices. Spanopoulos Group offers a full spectrum of marine services based on a wide range of innovative, upgraded and highly productive vessels, whilst it represents a cost effective and flexible solution when tackling with highly demanding and challenging projects.
After showing persistence, patience, integrity and professionalism the Spanopoulos Group has decided to collaborate with the Konecranes family by trusting them and by giving them an official assignment for 4 cranes with a lifting capacity of 20 tons and a total value of more than 200,000 euros.
Spanopoulos Group invests in new buildings and machines in order to have a complete new process of building a ship and parts of it.
After analyzing the customer’s needs, the client Spanopoulos Group came up with some top priorities: Safety for people and parts together with after sales support in combination with the new digital technology of real time data. All of the above lead Spanopoulos Group to ask Konecranes to elaborate together such a solution. Konecranes has a long experience in the harbor and shipyard sector all over the word. After analyzing the customer needs one by one, the crane builder Konecranes created an offer for the complete solution. Engineering – production – installation – service and more. Both companies started a cooperation and the first project concerns 4 cranes with 20 tons each, that will be installed in Salamina Shipyard of Spanopoulos Group with the latest technology.
