Reduce component wear with regular routine maintenance
Routine Maintenance has been designed to perform maintenance work, such as adjusting and lubricating with the intent of satisfying manufacturers’ maintenance instructions. Regular routine maintenance can help reduce component wear and unplanned stoppages, and maintain equipment performance and availability.
Routine Maintenance typically includes:
- Checking for proper equipment lubrication
- Lubrication of mechanical components such as wire ropes, rope sheaves, hook-block, crane and trolley wheel assemblies, when necessary
- Checking for correct oil level or quantity and, when necessary, top-off of hoist and travel gears and other machinery components
- Brake adjustments
- Limit switch adjustments
