Kari Åkman appointed Area Director, Nordic for Konecranes Group

Kari Åkman, (48), M.Sc. (Eng.), has been appointed Area Director, Nordic (Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark) for Konecranes Group. He will report to Pierre Boyer, President, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).  Mr. Åkman will take up his new post on  February 1, 2007.

Kari Åkman has had a long career in industrial services and is currently Deputy Business Unit Manager, Process Automation Service at ABB China. Prior to that position in China he was President and CEO for Done Solutions in Finland. Kari Åkman has also held various management positions of increasing responsibility within ABB Group, Fortek Oy, Huber Oy and Strömberg.
