Corporate press releases

In July 2010 Konecranes acquired the service company Bouyer Manutention (BM) based in Tours, France. BM has 38 employees and net sales of approximately EUR 5 million (2009). BM will be consolidated into Konecranes’ books in the third quarter 2010. The value of the acquisitions is not disclosed.

BM is a family company founded in 1988. The company’s competences include mechanical and electrical maintenance, and modernization of overhead cranes and machine tools. The company’s customers are e.g. in the nuclear, automotive, steel, and food industries. Apart from the headquarters in Tours, BM has service branches in Chinon, Le Mans, Orléans and Poitiers, all main cities in the Loire valley.

“Bouyer Manutention is a valuable addition to the Konecranes Group,” says Jean-Maxime Guhur, Director, Konecranes (France) S.A. “The company’s large contract base and strong knowledge of and relationship to the nuclear industry further strengthen our position in France.”

Konecranes bought 100 % of the shares in BM through the holding company Bouyer GCP.
