Konecranes builds new office building in Hyvinkää, Finland

Corporate press releases

Konecranes has received permits for constructing an office building in Hyvinkää, Finland. The new building will have office space of approximately 3,770 m2 and will be placed in connection with Konecranes’ present center for visitors in Hyvinkää. Construction will start during summer 2010, and the building is expected to be ready one year later.

The new office building will consist of four floors. The offices will have working space for approximately 100 employees. The building will also include conference rooms, a canteen, warehouse and technical space.
“This decision is an important element in a wider program to develop Konecranes’ operations at the Hyvinkää site. We have developed our manufacturing and R&D facilities in the area, and now we are completing the program with a new office building. We feel that having different functions – R&D, manufacturing and management – at the same site carries a lot of value,” comments Pekka Lundmark, President and CEO of Konecranes Plc.
The construction project is done in cooperation with Swedish-based real estate investment company AB Sagax (publ.), who owns the properties in Hyvinkää. Sagax will finance the project and own the new office building. Konecranes Plc will manage the construction project and rent the new office building from Sagax.
