Konecranes Service Oy starts statutory negotiations in Machine Tool Service in Finland

Corporate press releases

With the weakened demand for services within machine tool service customers in Finland, Konecranes is making adjustments to its machine tool service capacity. Konecranes Service Oy will start statutory negotiations regarding possible temporary layoffs, the duration of which is expected to be less than 90 days. It is estimated that the temporary layoffs will affect 40 employees at most.

The statutory negotiations will target the Machine Tool Service personnel of Konecranes Service Oy in Kotka, Pori, Rauma and Turku in Finland. Konecranes Service Oy, offering service solutions for cranes, port equipment and machine tools, has approximately 600 employees in Finland.

The aim of the measures is to adjust the company’s cost structure and capacity to correspond with the current, weakened market situation and to secure future competitiveness.
