• At Konecranes, we understand that there’s no “one size fits all” in lifting. Many industries require individually designed cranes tailored for specific factory processes and business needs. So we offer custom cranes optimized to the customer's precise requirements. As needs change, so can the cranes—with upgrades and modernizations. Custom cranes often use standard Konecranes products in unique ways, with new design elements for specific purposes.  
  
  Custom cranes are used in many industries, from metals production to general manufacturing, with each process requiring something different. A crane for a steel mill needs protection from heat and dust. Power plants and waste-to-energy facilities require specialized grabs. Car factories use special cranes for coil handling, stamping and assembly.
