As warehouse automation evolves, attention is shifting beyond storage to the material flows around it. Receiving, internal transfers, production supply, returns, and outbound handling all play a critical role in overall performance.
The Agilon Autoload Trolley is designed to extend automation to these touchpoints in a practical and scalable way. The trolley can operate with manual transport, forklifts or AMR-based workflows, supporting flexible material flow across operations.
The trolley itself is purely mechanical. All automation, intelligence and data handling occur within Agilon. This design keeps the carrier robust and cost-efficient while allowing Agilon to automate loading, unloading and traceability where it delivers the most value.
Once goods have been inspected and registered, they are placed on the Autoload Trolley and transported to Agilon. Transport can be manual, performed by a forklift, or handled by AMRs.
When the trolley arrives at Agilon, the internal robot automatically loads or unloads the items. No manual handling is required, and there is no waiting time for operators or mobile robots. The same principle applies to outbound flows and returns from production.
The functionality and material flows have been validated using visual simulation tools alongside customer processes, enabling a realistic evaluation of performance, capacity, and integration before physical deployment.
A single trolley supports multiple workflows, reducing the need for single-purpose handling equipment.
Operations can start with manual transport and later transition to semi-automated or fully automated AMR workflows, using the same trolley and Agilon system. Multiple trolleys can operate in parallel, enabling continuous flow while Agilon loads or unloads others in the background.
With simple mechanics and minimal maintenance requirements, the Autoload Trolley provides a low-risk path to scalable automation. All connectivity and traceability are handled through Agilon, including integration with WMS, ERP, MES, and fleet management systems.
The Autoload Trolley has been demonstrated at IMHX and IntraLogisteX 2026 and will also be featured at the Logistics Fair in Tampere in September 2026.
Visitors can explore the solution through simulations and hands-on demonstrations at the Konecranes Agilon development and manufacturing facilities in Tampere, Finland.
By extending automation beyond storage, the Agilon Autoload Trolley supports smoother material flows, reduces manual handoffs, and improves traceability without adding unnecessary complexity.
