I started in Konecranes in 2011. I joined to the team at that point that there was the right time to start the global IT platform implementations. After having the PLM program complete in 2015, it was kind of a natural step that I moved on to enterprise content management area. And then I got an interesting opportunity to move on to our infrastructure unit. And then meanwhile, there had been this big acquisition of MHPS from Terex, so in summer 2017 I then joined to that work and started with the legal entity consolidation activities.
Honestly, I like to be part of making these big changes. For example, this kind of acquisition, merger, transformation to a new mode with new people, new setups. So we are bringing in from different cultures, hopefully, the best things. And it's enforcing our product portfolio, the whole people management - everything. So they are challenging but they are really inspiring also, and you learn new people worldwide. So I think that motivates a lot.
We are in the middle of big disruption in IT technologies. What I'm interested now in Konecranes, and happy about that we are already on those areas planning our future steps, are the machine learning, robotics and also how to use smartly this big data that it also brings value to our business. I like Konecranes culture because it is innovative, so we are encouraged to explore new things, and try and come back, and take another road. Like "fail fast", sometimes like it's said in this company. I also like the informal spirit, not too rigid or hierarchical. So the atmosphere is very friendly.
