LTC Group expands with Konecranes

The Legnano Teknoelectric Company (LTC Group), a global leader in magnetic cores production, aimed to expand its operations in the Middle East with a second facility in Jebel Ali, UAE. LTC has maintained a longstanding relationship with Konecranes since 2010, ensuring regular consultations and maintenance for its fully Konecranes-equipped initial UAE plant.

To double their Middle East production capacity, LTC Group sought to establish a second cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Jebel Ali, UAE. Since Konecranes’ involvement in establishing and maintaining LTC’s initial UAE plant in 2010, a steadfast relationship has developed. Over the years, Konecranes has consistently offered consultations, services, and customized lifting solutions to accommodate LTC’s evolving operational needs. With processes heavily reliant on lifting and moving operations, Konecranes was tasked to supply lifting equipment to their new production facility, aiming to enhance reliability, safety, and productivity with the latest material handling innovations.

The comprehensive solution includes eight S-series and four CXT electric overhead cranes and nine jib cranes, seamlessly integrated into LTC’s production line. Their preference for Konecranes’ latest S-series hoists was driven by its modern features and compact design. The hoists’ innovative design, with stepless traveling and hoisting movements and adaptive speed range (ASR), facilitates quick and accurate load positioning, reducing lifting cycle times and improving productivity. The synthetic rope not only aligns with the facility’s modern aesthetic but also ensures increased durability and a clean operational environment due to its non-lubrication attributes.
