KCI Konecranes Sells Subsidiary in France

KCI Konecranes has sold its French subsidiary Cogeran Konecranes S.A.. Cogeran specialises in maintenance for power plant cranes and was acquired by Société de Maintenance Industrielle (SMI) belonging to the French Bergerat Monnoyeur Group.

KCI Konecranes acquired Cogeran in 1997, at that time known as Copas ALM. With the sale of Cogeran KCI Konecranes will focus its maintenance business in France to other industries including ports. Last week KCI Konecranes released news on the acquisition of the after-market operations of French crane maker Caillard S.A. as part of its expanding port service activities.

In 2000 Cogeran had sales of approx. FRF 17 million and employed some 30 persons.

The Bergerat Monnoyeur Group specialises in the whole sale of industrial products, industrial maintenance and produces components for the automotive industry.
