I am responsible for Port Solutions regional sales in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. My work is to sell Konecranes equipment and services to our customers. It goes all the way from creating the relation with the customer to signing the contract and closing the deal. I started at Konecranes in 2000 as an electrical designer, working in electrical and automation design of cranes. But quite soon I realized, and I think my team also realized, that what I like is customers. So quite quickly I moved to project management and then to sales.
For me, the most important thing is to close deals and get orders. That's definitely the most important. But I would say as well that we have to make sure that our customers are satisfied. And it's very important to make sure that deliveries are done according to promises so that when customer needs to buy more equipment, he will buy from us. Personally, I think health is very important. In order to perform in our work, we have to keep healthy. And I would say that nowadays it has become part of Konecranes culture. If we look at meetings or conferences, there is always time for sports or some other means of relaxation. I would say Konecranes has put well-being in an important position in our working environment.
