Sustainability reporting

Konecranes released the 2025 Sustainability Statement in accordance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) with a limited third-party assurance. The Statement is part of our Annual Report.

The content in Konecranes’ Sustainability website is prepared with reference to frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and SASB Standards, and is designed for a broader audience, including customers and other stakeholders.

Basis for preparation 


Disclosing information on how we manage our economic, environmental, and social impacts is an integral part of Konecranes’ Annual Report and Financial Statements, and the disclosures aiming to fulfill the requirements of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) are published in the Sustainability Statement within Konecranes’ Governance, Sustainability and Financial Review 2025. We have commissioned a limited third-party assurance for the Sustainability Statement 2025. For more information, see the external assurance statement by Ernst & Young Oy. In our sustainability website we communicate information on Konecranes’ sustainability agenda with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, GRI Universal Standards 2021 as well as indicators from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) deemed material for our company. The GRI topic-specific standards are the 2016 versions unless otherwise stated. For the SASB indicators, we use the standard tailored for Industrial machinery and goods, version 2018-10.
