ISOKON is a Slovenian manufacturer specializing in technical plastics for industrial applications. At its production facility, efficient material handling plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly.
ISOKON has worked with Konecranes since 2023, when a crane system was integrated into a robotic production line. Following the successful implementation of that project, ISOKON selected Konecranes again to supply lifting equipment for a new production line where pallets with boards need to be transferred frequently and positioned accurately.
The new production line required repeated transfer and positioning of pallets throughout the production process. The objective was to simplify material handling, improve positioning accuracy and reduce the physical workload for operators.
Building on the earlier cooperation, Konecranes worked closely with ISOKON to define a crane solution that met the application's requirements.
Konecranes supplied a 3.2 tonne double girder overhead crane equipped with target positioning and a two-hook hoist. The solution provides stable load handling and accurate pallet positioning, supporting smooth and efficient handling throughout the production process.
The crane is used for the semi-automatic transfer of pallets with boards and has become an integral part of daily production. Inverter-controlled lifting and smooth crane movements provide operators with precise control and ease of operation.
