Goliath gantry cranes are the backbone of modern shipbuilding, lifting and positioning massive pre-assembled ship sections with precision across large dock areas. The scale, strength and accuracy of Konecranes Goliath cranes enable faster, safer, and more efficient ship construction. This video showcases one of the world’s largest Goliath cranes that we designed for the Brazilian shipyard Ecovix-Engevix Construcões Oceanicas S.A. With a lifting capacity of 2,000 tons and a rail span of 210 meters, the crane was made for assembling the hulls of ships for offshore oil production projects.
