Konecranes Portal AI Assistant is now available globally to Industrial Service & Equipment customers. Konecranes Portal is a one-stop shop for crane maintenance information, asset data, spare parts and more. With the addition of Portal AI Assistant, customers can quickly find and connect equipment and service information, including sensor data, inspection findings and technician comments, to recommendations from the Konecranes Lifecycle Engine.
The Konecranes Lifecycle Engine helps customers identify lifecycle needs and supports service planning based on equipment type, operating environment, duty and usage, service history, regulatory requirements, OEM recommendations and Konecranes service expertise.
"Customers already have access to a significant amount of equipment and service information. Portal AI Assistant helps them see what matters most, so they can make more informed maintenance and lifecycle decisions," says Johannes Grönroos, Head of Konecranes Customer Portals. "Instead of spending time searching through reports and records, customers can focus on identifying priorities and planning actions."
For example, a maintenance manager can use Portal AI Assistant to get an overview of assets with open risks across locations, investigate relevant findings, review recommended actions and compare service spend across assets or locations. Customers can also ask questions in multiple languages through a single conversation.
Built around security, data privacy and traceability
Portal AI Assistant operates within the same security and access controls as the Konecranes Portal, so users can access only information they are authorized to view. Customer data remains securely isolated and is not used to train AI models.
The assistant retrieves information from defined backend-system data sources, and answers can be traced back to the customer's own records, so users can check the details directly in the Konecranes Portal.
