Generation 1

1956

Konecranes invents the mobile harbor crane, utilizing its mobile crane technology for cargo handling near and on waterways from this time on.

Generation 2

1978

Cargo handling in terminals needs to meet new challenges. Our cranes evolve: Towers are higher, the superstructure is a enclosed structure and the chassis undergoes a facelift.

Generation 3

1985

Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes are now built with a A-frame type tower and the chassis receives a complete makeover.

Generation 4

1995

From this point on, all machinery and drive units are completely integrated in the superstructure and enclosed for protection.

Generation 5

2006

Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes offer more powerful lifting capacity curves and feature a greater range of variants. They also operate at higher working speeds and offer greater ease of maintenance.

Konecranes Gottwald Generation 6 Mobile Harbor Cranes are setting new standards in handling all types of cargo, on vessels of all sizes and in a wide variety of terminals. This is what they stand for with their DNA: E for Electric – S for Smart and P for Powerful.

Tower

Robust, closed steel structure with internal, ergonomically designed stairs to protect against adverse weather conditions
Efficient ventilation: Fresh air supply to all consumers by means of air intake above the tower cab and forwarding via an internal pipe; can be equipped with an additional filter system
Maintenance platforms at the boom pivot point and additionally on the outside of the tower for service work
Elevator solutions for all models on the outside of the tower as a second full access point
