EUROGATE Technical Services GMBH ordered the Agilon® automated warehouse solution from Konecranes

Trade press releases

EUROGATE Technical Services GmbH has ordered Konecranes' Agilon warehouse solution to give around-the-clock, easy and safe access to materials in an energy-efficient and fully trackable way. The solution is utilized in EUROGATE’s Bremerhaven harbor at their terminal for vehicle maintenance operations. The order was booked in the third quarter of 2022.

Konecranes' Agilon automated material handling system gives customers broad insight and quick access to their materials. This is the first Agilon warehouse solution in a German port, and EUROGATE will use automatization to deliver constant and reliable availability of port handling equipment in a safer and more timely way, while also reducing the size of their storage space.

The order and delivery included interconnected Agilon system units with 2 robots and 2 user access points. The system will be integrated into EUROGATE’s SAP system. The delivery and installation took place in September 2022 with a full-service agreement included for the system and technical support that provides predictive maintenance and 24/7 remote customer service.

“One of our targets for the investment was to improve work safety. Having now all vehicle spare parts and maintenance tools in one place removes the traffic between two floors. Additionally, we save space on the workshop floor for other purposes. Agilon standardizes pickup times and keeps spare parts protected from light and dust, too,” says Bjørn Erdmann, Head of logistics, EUROGATE Technical Services GmbH.

“Agilon is a proven solution for managing large spare part warehouse operations in several industries. Konecranes is one of the world's leading material handling equipment manufacturers and service providers for terminal operators, and Agilon is a natural extension to our offering for our ports solutions business,” says Vesa Hämetvaara, Director of the Agilon business.

A strong focus on customers and commitment to business growth and continuous improvement make Konecranes a lifting industry leader. This is underpinned by investments in digitalization and technology, plus our work to make material flows more efficient with solutions that decarbonize the economy and advance circularity and safety.
