Dear Sir/Madam,

On the 4th of January, 2017 Konecranes announced that all material closing conditions have been met for the acquisition of Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions (MHPS). The acquisition of MHPS by Konecranes is complete.

Konecranes and MHPS, known for their state-of-the-art equipment, systems and services, are now building a new technology focused company. As one company we now offer you the industry’s broadest range of highly complementary products and stronger service presence on a global scale.

Konecranes and MHPS have a long, rich history and a similar culture: Engineering, knowledge of material handling, global business and a drive for technology leadership lie at the heart of both companies. Our combined entity will have a truly global presence with 18,000 employees in over 50 countries.

The goal of the acquisition is to create the basis for future growth. As a combined company we will have more resources for R&D, introduce new products and engineering solutions and further enhance our service offering.

Please be assured that we are fully committed to putting in place a seamless transition process whereby our working relationship will mutually benefit from the enhanced capabilities of the joint organization.

The attached list presents our wide product offering. You may be using products which are not shown in the list. If so, please note that we honor and support all the pending deliveries of products, and all contracts with possible options, regardless of the product or service in question.

Please visit our website www.konecranes.com for further information.

Automation technology is one of our top focus areas. Here our product offering covers Automated Stacking Cranes (ARTGs and ARMGs), Automated Straddle Carriers (A-STRAD) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) for automated horizontal transportation. Our software and process knowledge is the widest in the industry, bringing the best out of your terminal and integrating your fleet, either manual or automated, seamlessly in your operations.

Technology is also a strong focus in our lift trucks. Recently, this has resulted in more powerful, eco-friendly reach stackers, software that makes our lift trucks smarter and provides customers with the information they need to optimize operations. This technology focus will continue to be at the heart of our business.

In a nutshell, our goal is to create the next generation of lifting.

We thank you for your business and look forward to continuing our relationship with you. Your main point of contact remains the same (including dealers, if applicable), phone numbers remain the same, and our unified email structure is: [email protected]

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any point should you have any questions.
