Turning a load is one of the most challenging crane operations. The Konecranes Assisted Load Turning Smart Feature, however, greatly simplifies and lessens the risk of this maneuver by keeping the ropes straight and eliminating side pull. The crane operator only needs to control the up and down motions, allowing them to focus fully on the load.
Assisted Load Turning in action
To use Assisted Load Turning, the operator turns the feature on with the selector switch on the crane’s radio controller and the feature will stay on in every lifting situation. Assisted Load Turning eliminates side pull with automatic trolley and bridge movements to keep the ropes straight during lifting and lowering giving you improved operational safety, faster load cycle times, ease of crane operation and less wear and tear on crane components.
