Simplify and speed up loading and unloading
When you need to perform quick, repetitive lifting operations like transporting materials from a loading zone or feeding a continuous manufacturing process, moving the crane into position with the radio can be time-consuming. With the Konecranes Follow Me Smart Feature, the crane operator simply guides the empty hook by hand into position over the load and the crane and trolley automatically follow along. This feature, based on continual measurement of the rope angle, reduces load cycle times by making loading and unloading the crane much easier and faster.
Follow Me in action
To activate, the crane operator turns on the Follow Me function with the selector switch on the crane’s radio controller. The operator issues a hoist-down command and simply pulls the hook in the desired direction. The crane and trolley follow the operator without the need for any additional commands. The operation feels almost weightless.
