Automatic load movement reduces cycle time
In many industrial facilities, lifting operations are repetitive and routine. Manufacturing materials need to be transported from one stage of production to the next, or waste material needs to move from an unloading area to a burn hopper. The Konecranes Target Positioning Smart Feature takes the load from a home position to a defined target position with the single push of a button, greatly reducing cycle times. This feature is a major time-saver when you have to drive back and forth through the same location. Instead of operating the crane in the slow, traditional way, you push a single button and the crane does the driving on its own.
Target Positioning in action
Up to 120 targets and seven home positions can be defined. To use Target Positioning, the crane operator selects the target location for the load and presses the Target Positioning button on the operator interface. The load will automatically navigate to the selected target position at a pre-defined travel height. The operator is able to start manual operation by releasing the Target Positioning button on the control device.
